In 1964 dad recorded his first LP - "Ship Ahoy with the Plainsmen Quartet."
At this time dad was on staff at Hope Baptist Church in Alexandria,LA. The Plainsmen Quartet was a well known quartet in the 1960's and backed up Louisiana Governer Jimmy Davis regularly. Rusty Goodman left this group the year before (he was their bass singer,) and started the Happy Goodman Family.
Singing in Chicago in 1977 at a Zondervan meeting. Dad sold the "Book of Life" in the 1970's to supplement our income.
